No fireworks or firearms are permitted at LDRS 27 or any other KloudBusters launches. In deference to our landowner and surrounding residents, please leave these items at home.

FAA Waiver for LDRS 27
The waiver for the duration of LDRS 27 will be 50,000' AGL. Extended altitude arrangements above 25,000' up to 50,000' must be made with prior approval from the TRA BoD and the KLOUDBusters BOD. These approvals must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the launch. The form for TRA BoD approvals may be found at TRA 25K Application (PDF file). Project approvals must also be be sent to the KloudBusters prefect.

Aluminum Rockets at Argonia
Rockets launched at Argonia may not be constructed of all aluminum or other metals. Aluminum fin cans or nose cones will be permitted only if required to ensure structural integrity of the rocket during a high-performance launch. Absolutely no aluminum airframes or fins attached directly to motor cases will be permitted under any circumstances. Any metal structural components (nosecones or fins/fin cans) must be painted. Screws, rivets, nuts, washers, and other non-structural small components are exempt from this restriction. Please contact the KloudBusters prefect for further details.

Feature Projects at LDRS 27
Do you have an extreme project or special project you'd like to launch at LDRS 27? We're putting together Feature Projects pages to be included in the LDRS 27 web-site and we're happy to share your plans with the rest of the rocketry community. Photographs, details of your project, construction photos, web-links, etc. can be included. Forward your information of us no later than August 1, 2008 and we'll link it in. Range Hours at LDRS 27
Range hours will be 9:00am to 6:00pm daily except for Saturday August 30, 2008 - we'll close the range at 5:00pm for the LDRS 27 Banquet back at the Best Western Hotel in Wichita.

Concessions at LDRS 27
There will be on-site vendors for food, drinks and bagged ice at LDRS 27.

Commercial Launch Days
Thursday through Sunday, August 28 - August 31, 2008 will be commercial only launch days. TRA and NAR certified flyers may launch any certified commercial motors per their certification level on these days.

Tripoli Research Launch Days
Monday and Tuesday, September 1 & 2, 2008 will be conducted under the new Tripoli Research Safety Code. All flyers participating in Monday and Tuesday launches must be Tripoli members holding Level 2 or Level 3 certification. Eligible flyers may fly Research and/or commercially certified motors per the safety code.

Argonia Rocket Pasture
KLOUDBusters have enjoyed the use of one of the premier Launch Sites in the Heartland of the U.S.A. for nearly 15 years. This site has hosted Tripoli's national launch LDRS 4 times. The surrounding area is primarily crop land with a few area of cattle grazing range and is quite wide open for several miles.

The KLOUDBusters Launch Control System (LCS) has the capability to service a large number of pads from its main Command box. There will be banks of 8 pads set at safe distances for the various motor classes. Additionally, remote launch services will be available for extreme projects at the required safe distances.

There will be all popular sizes of launch rods and rails available at each pad bank. Projects with special equipment needs should contact The Prefect to determine availability.

IDENTIFICATION
Without exception, LDRS 27 high-power Flyers must bring the following pieces of identification:

• Positive Photo ID
• Active TRA or NAR membership card --OR--
• Other Certification level documentation if different the membership card. These items are required to verify each flyer's identity when picking-up their Flyers Packet and Badge. Certification level will be indicated on the Flyer's Badge and motor limits will be strictly adhered to during LDRS 27.
