LDRS 27 Lodging Information
The Best Western Airport Inn and Conference Center located at 6815 W. Kellogg in Wichita, KS has been selected as our LDRS 27 host hotel and will be the venue for the Tripoli Board of Directors meeting and the LDRS 27 All-Members meeting and Banquet on Saturday (8/30/2008) evening. The Best Western offers comprehensive services to guests, has over 120 rooms available and includes an on-site full-service restaurant and bar. Additionally, the hotel features a large courtyard with swimming pool, hot tub, and game area perfect for unwinding after a day at the range, comparing notes and renewing acquaintances. Our special LDRS 27 room rate of $74 per night is available for up to 4 guests per room and includes free breakfast and high-speed internet.

The special LDRS 27 rate is available from Wednesday 8/27/2008 through Tuesday 9/2/2008. Reservations must be made directly with the Best Western Airport Inn by calling 888-942-5666 using Group Code 3883.

The Best Western is adjacent to Wichita Mid-Continent Airport for those flying in for LDRS 27, and is located on the west side of Wichita with many options nearby for food, shopping and entertainment. Its west-Wichita location also gives the best accessibility to the Argonia Rocket Pasture of any Wichita hotel with an easy 45 minute drive from the hotel to the launch site.

Camping at LDRS 27
The Argonia River Park is on the southern end of Argonia along the Chickaskia River 7 miles from the launch site. The park has a limited number of camping positions with electricity and water. There are new bathrooms with showers, a dump station and hydrant for water. The rates are $10.00 per night for electric and water hook-up, $5.00 per night for tent camping, or $15 for water, electric and sewer. Reservations need to be made through the Argonia City Office, 620-435-6417 or by email at argonia@havilandtelco.com. Office hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM Central time, Monday through Friday.

On-site camping is available at the launch site in designated areas only. There is no drinking water, electricity, or waste dumping available for on-site campers.
